Life in L.A. - Entlebucher Days in Hollywood

Life in L.A. is being on the road. It means living with lots of freeway numbers: 405 to 5 to 605 via the 110 onto the 101 and merge onto the 10. Phew !! Life in L.A. means distance and it means traffic and learning that, wherever you're going, you will have to learn patience in order to get there. It means judging a man by his car and judging his car by his air conditioning.

Life in L.A. is the Beach. Nothing is better than running through the surf on a sunny day with a good friend. It means a drive of one hour, either north or south of L.A., to find a beach which will allow dogs. It means being a little wary of those surfer boys and their funny rubber suits. It's seeing that the cast of 'Baywatch' has taken over the parking lot at your favorite Malibu beach. And it's fun !

Life in L.A. is the Drive-Thru Window. You drive up to a brightly colored clown and tell him something. Afterwards a brown bag full of 'goodies' magically appears out of a window. Then you drive away and feast on hamburgers and french fries. Yum! We're not quite sure how this works yet but we do understand that being in a car, going to see a clown, and then waiting by a window means a special treat!

Life in L.A. is the 'Doggie Spa'. It is scented shampoo, and oatmeal cream rinse. It is blow dryers and doggie cologne. It is manicures and massages. It is seeing all the local Pomeranian and Bichon Frise boys parading around with distinctive hairdo's. It is, simply, that we're going to get a rather ordinary bath in somewhat decadent surroundings.

Life in L.A. is Hollywood. It's going over to Ozzy's house to look for (bulldog) Lola. It's seeing George Clooney driving around town with his (maybe, Swiss??) dog. It's cruising down the Sunset Strip on a Friday night; riding in the front passenger seat while sniffing all the aromas from the outdoor cafes and checking out all the Ferraris trapped in street traffic. It's finding yourself in the middle of Mark Wahlberg action movie while shopping on Hollywood Boulevard. It's being on the check-out line at the local market behind Johnny Mathis. It's seeing Cyndi Lauper or Paris Hilton going past your house as the Grand Marshal in the Gay Pride Parade.
Life in L.A. is having a Portfolio.......and looking for an agent.
